On May 9th, Compatriots Larry Guzy, Kendall Abbott and Tony Toth visited with 100 3rd graders at Abney Elementary School in Dallas, GA. They had recently completed their study of the American revolution. Correct answers were rewarded with a prize, and when we were finished, all were given a brochure about the origin of the Purple Heart.

 


 

 

 

 

 

 

On April 26, 2006 Compatriots Larry Guzy and Paul Grigg met with 165 4th graders at J. Milton Lewis Elementary School.  The 4th graders from the school gathered in the Media Center for the presentation. They had recently completed their study of the American revolution and were prepared with many answers to the questions posed. Correct answers were rewarded with a prize, and when we were finished, all were given a brochure about the origin of the Purple Heart as well as a US Flag decal for their parent's car.

 

 


 

 

 

In the spring of 2005, Compatriots Kendall Abbott, Curtis McWaters, and Larry Guzy met with the Cobb County School Board and presented to them 110 American Heritage CDs to be distributed to all American History teachers in the County. The School Board had reviewed the CD previously and thought it an asset to the teaching opportunities/resources for the teachers.

 

In September, Compatriots Kendall Abbott and Curtis McWaters met with the 4th graders at Kemp Elementary School to discuss the poster contest on Valley Forge. Later that day, Kendall met with the First graders at Powder Springs Elementary School in Powder Springs to discuss the American Flag and the National Anthem and the freedoms we enjoy as Americans.
